Final Holiday Boutique... Piecemakers Costa Mesa

Well... The boutiques are finally over... Every year I tell myself, "This will be the last year," however I always seem to add a boutique every year. My theory is, "YOU EITHER HAVE LITTLE ONES OR YOU DON'T..." It wasn't a horrible experience, but it wasn't like WOW! I wish I was having one every weekend... I met some fabulous people and lots of friends and family stopped by, which made it all worth it.

This boutique was a little different from the others I had been involved with this year... It was outdoors and I had a canopy and more tables, which allowed me to display more items from both

Boutique#2: The 6th Annual Holiday Boutique, Lighthouse Coastal Community Church

Boutique #2 was cute and quaint, but unfortunately a not-so lovely day for rain. Whenever the rain comes, it seems like shoppers stay in doors and no one wants to bother with the hustle and bustle of driving around.

Confession #1: My expectations were too high because of the success from the first boutique, however it was still nice to see smiling faces, meet new vendors and visit with people.

Patty did an amazing job and was so sweet and supportive of all the vendors.

I always enjoy supporting local schools, especially in the area where I grew up...

I have decided to re-open the lil' cupcake since I handed out several cards, not all items are available, but some are up and ready for purchase. After the last boutique on December 2nd and 3rd I will be having a HUGE sale so stay tuned for the sale update and coupon code.

Boutique #1: Sip and Shop Snowflake Boutique

Well I just finished up Boutique #1: The Sip and Shop Snowflake Boutique

A HUGE thank you to the MOMS club of Huntington Beach for putting on such an amazing event. I'll be honest, after last years 2 boutiques that I had the opportunity to attend and vendor at, I swore I would never do another boutique. I got asked by several different local schools, stores, organizations,etc... this year and had to ponder over it for a bit. I decided to bit the bullet and give it another go around and put last years disasters behind me...

I'm SO GLAD I did! I've learned that not all bad experiences pave the path for future disasters. I had a great time. This boutique was the shortest I've done so far, about 2 1/2 hours, but was the most profitable and rewarding.

The things I LOVED and LEARNED:

 

- Everyone I met was so sweet, kind-hearted and wonderfull

- The organization itself was for a great cause and they made sure you had everything you needed and then some

- I met some fabulous ladies who taught me little things that I never knew could make such a huge difference in how you run your small business

- I learned about SQUARE, the most amazing app for my IPHONE to accept credit cards

- I learned that I have some pretty amazing people in my life, not just co-workers, but dear friends who didn't have to come, help or show support, but did and we had a ball together

200 Sales!!!

Wow! I never thought that I would hit 200 sales within 18 months of starting my ETSY shop! I feel so fortunate to have such amazing buyers, repeat customers and positive feedback. I live such a hectic life filled with shifts at the hospital, catching up with home life and so many other little odds and ends that I often wonder how I find time to do what I love... But when I hit 200 sales a day a go, I felt so proud and awesome, that so many people LOVE my products, custom items and more...  I have sold way over 200 items, as I try and do local boutiques, have a shop on Art Fire and have also made several personal sales to friends and family, but to see the actual 200 number puts a smile on my face.

New Beginnings

I'm so excited to have the opportunity to start over with a NEW Blog beginning. I found an AMAZING shop on Etsy and had Alicia from Dream Like Magic re-create my blog design. I am so happy with the way it turned out and excited to be able to utilize my blog in more ways. Next will be the website when things slow down in life. I will be adding my products to the PRODUCTS section, slowly, but surely and try to start sharing tutorials of my own or at the very least learning to navigate through the blogs that I follow and post them to share with others in the TUTORIAL section. More than that I will be able to share my experiences through creating new ideas and products for my shops. Here's to a new beginning in the blogging world and my little craft/hobby adventure(s) with the lil' cupcake!

I know I haven't posted in FOREVER! There really is NO excuse, I'm just extremely busy with life as a Registered Nurse, working for 2 different hospitals, about 50-60 hours per week, PLUS the 2 ETSY shops, PLUS billing and payroll for the boyfriends company, blah blah blah!!! Story of my life, but I can't complain, I love what I do and enjoy every minute of it!
